Musics in mind for this week's downloads:
Throwback Galaxy (Super Mario Galaxy 2)
AVGN Theme (original song by Kyle Justin, remixed by Leo Biollo)

Off the heels of the latest Nintendo Direct, the Nintendo 64 games AND the Nintendo DS games finally enters the Wii U Nintendo eShop...AT LONG LAST... along with one of the most awaited hardcore game of them all.

Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64, 1996): You've already seen that download in my gallery before, although as Nintendo officially announced that Nintendo 64 games and Nintendo DS games would now join the Virtual Console line-up, i had to download that one... again, but this time, at a discounted price of 2 bucks. That's right, 2 bucks for already downloaded Nintendo 64 games on the Wii Mode of the Wii U console. Hey, if NES games had discounted prices of 1 dollar for their already downloaded games and Super NES games had a discounted price of 1.50$, then Nintendo 64 game should have the honor of having the discount of 2 bucks, no? Anyway, like the other Virtual Console games that came before the N64 and the DS, they do have restore points of that one, which means no longer do i need to go back to the Title Screen again, thus now, i can complete the specific N64 title without worrying about being Game Over and such. As for this game... as i said, you already know what i've said about it, so no need to remind you about that one.

The Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures (Wii U Download): For quite some time now, i've been watching many of James Rolfe's web series episodes known as The Angry Video Game Nerd, to which everybody knows what his series is all about: James' character, the Nerd reviews video games that are said to be very bad, in terms of either controls, graphics and anything else that has major defaults on it. And among the bad games he's reviewed, there's games such as Silver Surfer, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, Karate Kid, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the first NES game to be exact) and more... though some of the games he's reviewed mostly came from the former toy company known as LJN (which stands for from the initials of Lewis JNorman, which was the reverse of the name Norman J. Lewis), in which the Nerd himself refers that company as Laughin' Joking Numbnuts, the very bane of the Nerd's existence. The Angry Video Game Nerd (which is abbreviated by fans as AVGN) has become so popular that the game you see here had once been released on PC by ScrewAttack Games and FreakZone Games and contains many references from past AVGN episodes, that you can see on Youtube or on James Rolfe's website, Cinemassacre.com. And yes, not only does this one marks the first M-Rated game that i've downloaded, but i'm also aware that you'll tell me that this game's not worth it, that it's too hard to play with. Well, you may tell me that all you want, it won't matter, i'm keeping that one, for the AVGN nostalgia, even if it does have bad stuff in it. Besides... isn't the Angry Video Game Nerd web series all about bad game reviews? Anyway, i'll see what kind of bad stuff i can find in that one... even if i have to get mad at the hard stuff that i could find on it. Well... Time for me to be like the nerd and beat the shit out of this game.

Wow, those are some interesting finds, Eric, especially Super Mario 64. :) Speaking of Super Mario 64, I have recently been considering on downloading that game from the Wii Virtual Console (the original Wii, as much as I would like to own a Wii U, it is kind of over my budget right now) to play on my Wii, along with a few other classic games (such as Mario Kart 64, the three original Donkey Kong Country games, etc.) as a way to relive my earliest days of gaming. However, before I could do that, I would need to try finding & purchasing a Wii Classic Controller (in which I plan to do the next time I visit one of my local video game retailers, called G2K Games).
