The Full Punishing Blast

Description

Hardcore Virtual Console month on the eShop is coming to an end and what better way to end this special month than to bring some shooting games that are considered to be hardcore.

Sin & Punishment (Nintendo 64, 2000, Japan Only): Have you folks wondered why would Saki Amamiya, a character that is somewhat of an unknown to most gamers out there, get himself involved in the Super Smash Bros. series, starting with Brawl and then heading out to the 3DS and Wii U versions of the latest Smash, in terms of being an assist character? Or more importantly, just who IS Saki Amamiya? Well, the reasons as to why he would get himself in those Smash Bros. games are completely unknown to me, just as much as the character is indeed an unknown, though he goes all the way back from this japanese Nintendo 64 game that never saw the day of light here in North America (although when the Wii's Virtual Console came about, that game was indeed released and costed like 1200 Wii Points). But regardless, this game was being developed by the same company that developed Gunstar Heroes (the 3D Sega Genesis classic that was released on the 3DS eShop last week), meaning Treasure Co. Ltd. And get this, while there's japanese in the subbing of the game, the spoken dialogues in that one are in full english. I mean, i don't understand why Nintendo of America never brought that one here... and i'm sure European gamers could not comprehend on why Nintendo of Europe never brought that one to their gaming stores either. They DID rectify the problem in 2009, however, with the Wii release, Sin & Punishment: Star Successor (in which that game is also available now on the Wii U eShop as well), three years before the launch of the very console itself, the Wii U. Regardless, the gameplay style of that one is kinda like how it goes down in Kid Icarus Uprising, meaning you walk and aim to shoot enemies, although there's a timer on that one and if it expires, then the life meter on the upright of the screen will decrease. Anyway, i'll see if i can try to beat this one, seeing that this will mark the first time i've ever played Sin & Punishment. Finally, i get to see what makes Saki Amamiya tick.

FullBlast (Wii U Download): EnjoyUp Games (the company that did brought iSpot Japan, game that i still have on my 3DS to this day) brings us one hell of a SHMUP game that kinda plays like the SHMUP games that i've known, like Capcom's 194X series, Tecmo-Koei Games's Raiden series and more. I don't know how this one is different or similar than the others, but i'll know for sure later on when i'll try it out for myself.
