Mina and Trista's Punch-Out

In the spirit of the dedicated Sailor Senshi month, this time we're going in double mode, as i'm bringing you not one, but two dedicated characters who are celebrating their month. Mina and Trista (aka Mathilda and Sévérine in France respectively and as Minako and Setsuna in Japan respectively as well) are seen cosplaying as Punch-Out's favorite boxer/trainer duo, Little Mac and Doc Louis respectively.

Now, i'm gonna admit that when i had this one in the works, i was originally going to bring them both along with a few other characters as well, thus including Bear Hugger as Mina's opponent and Mario as the referee AND Peach as the card holder. Unfortunately, due to my own limited capabilities at drawing, i was unable to do that, instead opting to do just those two main ones seen here. And rightfully so, since this one is for 's Venus/Pluto month, as those two are being celebrated all October long.

Anyway, if i had to add a background story behind this one, here it is: After Little Mac had suffered his third loss against Soda Popinski in the Last Stand tournament, Mac had retired from the boxing ring. Not only that, but Doc Louis had also retired right after Mac retired. Noticing the retirement, Mina wanted to give boxing a shot, although she knew she couldn't ask the Doc to train her, so she instead opted to ask Trista to do the honors. At first, Trista wasn't sure, as boxing isn't much her domain. However, after repeated insults from boxers like Glass Joe, King Hippo, Super Macho Man, Mr. Sandman and Bear Hugger, Trista had decided to train Mina, in order to not only teach them a lesson in respect, but also to win the World Circuit title that Mac had lost in the first place, although like Mac did in the Punch-Out game, she'll have to start in the Minor Circuit firsthand.

There's no telling what awaits Mina when she decides to face the bigger guys in the ring. But hey, you know what they say: If Mac was able to defeat them, so can Mina, although... she's gonna have to keep her guard up against them all if she hopes to win the World title from Mr. Sandman, should she reach the big nasty brute.

Now, as to whom Mina would be facing in the ring, as seen in this picture, well... i'll let you use your own imagination for that.
