Half Virtual Console, Half WiiWare

Description

Since there was nothing of interest in the eShop this week, i went on ahead and downloaded five more titles on the Wii Shop Channel, while also going for one Virtual Console title on the eShop.

Zaxxon (Arcade, 1982): Ahhh, now this one is a very interesting and yet difficult shooter game... though i've played an Atari 2600 version of it before. And let me just say right off the bat that this game will really test your patience and limits, as well as the shooting of the enemies that comes your ship's way. Also, the rockets shot from the big bosses (if there were any) are very hard to avoid. I mean, you get hit once and you lose your ship. And this game was also included in the Sega Genesis Collection on either PS2 or PSP (i can't remember which one it was) and it was as equally tough as it was from its arcade origins and even its console counterparts. Good luck trying to get far on that one... you'll need it.

Arkanoid Plus! (WiiWare): One of the three Taito games i've downloaded today and like Bubble Bobble Plus!, that one is a bit remastered from its predecessors, although you can also download additional content, to which it has more extra stages to play with. I've yet to play it, but i'm sure i'll have a blast with it.

Rainbow Islands: Towering Adventure (WiiiWare): The second of the three Taito games i've downloaded today and like Bubble Bobble Plus!, that one is a bit remastered from its predecessors. Unlike the other two, it has no additional content, but like it matters anyway. I've yet to play it, but i'm sure i'll have a blast with it.

Bust-A-Move Plus! (WiiWare): The third of the three Taito games i've downloaded today and like Bubble Bobble Plus!, that one is a bit remastered from its predecessors, although you can also download additional content, to which it contains stages taken from previous Bust-A-Move games such as the second one or even Super Bust-A-Move. I've yet to play it, but i'm sure i'll have a blast with it.

New Adventure Island (TurboGrafx-16, 1992): Man, i must be on an Adventure Island loving spree. I mean, i've downloaded the first two, i still have the Game Boy one on my 3DS, i've downloaded the first Super Adventure Island and now, that one right here. This one plays exactly like many of its original chapters, so i'm sure i'll be having a tropical fun time with that one... which will surely make me forget the crazy winter we've had this season.

F-Zero (Super NES, 1991): One of the early Super NES titles saw the debut of the F-Zero franchise, as well as many well known characters such as Captain Falcon and Samurai Goroh, for example. It also saw the many fancy flying racing hover cars racing around in tracks that'll blow your mind away. I've yet to play this one, but i'm certain that i,ll se what made this game a mega hit among F-Zero fanatics.
