Description

Mega May is back and the title that i requested to start this Mega Celebratory month is now here at last (and the only one i'm getting, since the rest is not of any interest to me at all)... along with one title that i find a bit... bizarro, but regardless, let's check 'em out.

Mega Man & Bass (Game Boy Advance, 2003): This title is actually the actual remake on Game Boy Advance of the Super Famicom title known as Rockman & Forte in Japan only... but the story of it was quite an interesting one. So interesting that for many years, i kept thinking about playing that one, but couldn't, since the Super Famicom title came totally late in the lifespan of the japanese SNES console, which at that time, the Nintendo 64 was kinda going strong. But in any case, as the title pretty much suggest, you play as either Mega Man OR Bass, in which either robot have to stop a tall robot that goes by the name of King, to which he wants to build his own robotic army, so that he could then build a utopia where all robots live together without humans in it. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Kinda like on how the events of the Mega Man X series would be centered around. But anyway, Mega Man goes to stop this tall robot, while Bass wants to prove that he's the strongest robot that ever lived, so he goes to scrap the other robots that King has build (having obtained the data from the robot museum, that is)... though later on, things are not exactly as it seems, concerning King being a threat. Anyway, i've played the Game Boy Advance version of that game 12 years ago and boy, let me tell you that if you think Mega Man 9 (that would come years later after the release of this one) and Mega Man 10 are tough games, well, Jack, you ain't seen... well, you know. Also, the order of robot master stage selecting is done a little differently than how it's usually done in the classic series, thus making this one the hardest of all Mega Man games... though with restore points, maybe now, things are gonna be a little easier... even though you still need to gather bolts to get items AND CDs for the CD Database mode.

Bloo Kid 2 (3DS Download): Hmmmmmm... Now, this one's a bit bizarro. Not in terms of game graphics, don't get me wrong. But... a kid with no arms and only legs? And also, whatever happened to a Bloo Kid 1 game? I don't get it. Nevertheless, this game seems to look simple enough to play with... though with only legs and no arms and hands, i surely consider this one to be one of the weirdest characters in video gaming history. But i won't know for sure unless i play that one later on.
